Hey guys recently got permission to trap this property, the guy who is currently hunting it has trail cam pics somewhere on it of bobcat and I've also been informed there's coyote and otter on the property. There's a small creek that runs through it, a pond, has a field on the north east corner and another in the south west corner. Any ideas where to set for three bobcat and coyote? I'm trying to stay off of it until December 10th when bobcat opens in michigan. Also it's 35 acres and will probably be the only property I'll be trapping at the time so how many sets would be too many on a property this size?

If you have the traps and the time, set 2 at each corner of both fields. Find the trails through the timber and set those. Not sure of your otter laws but I’d set along the creek if you can keep otter. Fence corners usually do good with pee post sets here.

Boot leather after a rain will show tracks/scat and trails they are using. No substitute for that in my life but your aerials will help. Remember 1 thing : Habitat is ---- FOOD - COVER - and WATER. Try to find out where they eat, sleep and drink on that property and you are 1/2 way home....................the mike

I'm going to see if I can get in contact with the hunter and see where he seen them on the trail cam

I have 3 otter tags, 220's can be used on dryland here since it's private property, but from the little I've look at the property the creek is way down and only has a couple inches of water, I've never got a bobcat before though, so I figured trying to cover all the corners fencerows and trails through the woods, I just didn't know if you can over set a property
