Time really flies .I trapped when I should have stayed working ,Caught a lot of fur in the 70's .For a very few years a man could make a weeks wages in one trap check. Never quit trying and quit a few jobs to trap .Looking back ,well my acreage is paid for and I have no outstanding debt, Trapping today would be great but cant walk on uneven ground anymore . Glad I did what I did when I did .

Well I'm close LOL, setting some fun sets tomorrow just for kicks (coyotes, mink, rats only) and Thursday will be my 48th first check. Been running traps since I was 4yo with Pop (my grandfather)

Congratulations Ky Trapper , You been running a trap line longer than most on here have been alive , in that time you have had alot of experience ,some of use saw that with your catch last year , keep on keeping on , alot could learn from a real trapper like you. And thanks for all you do for the trapping world .

62nd year's check here...doubled on otter the other day...both had to be turned in!! Can't keep them out of beaver sets.

More aches and pains than fur bales...but more memories than a head can hold. Proud to be called one of the "...people of the land."

That’s a giant milestone of fifty first checks. It’s the thing in trapping world that’s like a rite of passage. Every one of these stories has to be its own success and bye and bye lesson. May you make more memories to come. Here’s to them.
