Everyone, I know this isn't trapping but I just wanted to let you all know: My non-GMO Wagyu beef is now available nationwide at Azure Standard. The deal took eight months to do. Azure lets you buy your groceries "outside the system," if you will, picking up at their drop-offs once per month. Family-owned. Here is a little one-pager: https://www.reservemeats.com/distributor/azureThank you. Note: Mr. Dobbins gave me permission to post this.

Wish you well in this venture. Nice to see beef with a product of the United States of America statement. Sure would be nice to get mandatory country of origin labeling back but our packing industry overseers ain't never gonna let that happen. Thank you for your kind words. >Sure would be nice to get mandatory country of origin labeling back but our packing industry overseers ain't never gonna let that happen. Indeed Reserve Meats beef is all from American family ranches, 100%. No Steroids, No Antibiotics, No Hormones. All label claims USDA approved. Will grade 4-10 on the Japanese BMS grading scale. 7 is a normal number. About 10% will be 10's. The buttery flavor is off the charts. I prefer to cook medium rare. Here is my steak from last Thursday I took a picture on a cutting board (untouched)... https://manzo.reservemeats.com/rm/assets/staging/draft_11212024_cooked/untouched_board_cut_2.jpg

Prices are a little higher than I expected. Everyone here has to make a little bit of money. And to hand-pack by a family-owned operation into 10lb. boxes cost me even more money. This F1 sells for $60-$80 per steak in Manhattan restaurants today. Anyone with a grocery store, restaurant/hotel or other outlet, please DM me and I'll impress you with what I can do, I assure you. You've got to be able to buy at least 5 beef. On the Azure front, please check them out for your other groceries. I bought a 20lb bag of pink Himalayan sea salt recently for pretty cheap. And the truck pickup I think was $5. And you might just meet other like-minded smart people at the truck (new friends). I think to pay just a little bit more sometimes for real-quantifiable-quality-of-life improvements, is ok.

That's some fine looking beef. I'll look into it further. I see a drop point about 15 miles south of me near Jasper, FL.

Only way to buy is the Variety Box?I wouldnt pay $22 a pound for ground beef no matter what it is. The ground beef is from the same cow as the NY Strips and Ribeye's. As of now, the offering is the variety box, yes. You'll get probably 2 steaks, 1 roast, and 4lbs. of ground beef, give or take. It's not exact, but should be close. Every box is over 10lbs. Boxes if I remembered correctly weighed 10.4-10.7lbs, as you can't pack a perfect 10lb. box easily. We had it packed manually and with tender loving care to give families what we believed they would want to receive.

Thank you for sharing! my mom buys stuff from Azure. You're welcome. On Azure, I just checked the fee for drop off from my last order. It was exactly $4.70 on the small invoice and also for my mom because she lives upstate and doesn't have a Trader Joes. So if I understood correctly, it meant: that them rolling a 53' semi from Oregon to New York cost me $4.70. Not bad when you consider "bypassing the grocery store," which will be helpful if we go into some crazy war situation. Azure also has a lot of bulk stuff that Trader Joes doesn't have.

Good morning everyone. Azure dropped the price on the Wagyu to $183.62 for the box. Best deal in the country I'm pretty sure. Slaughter was 10/12, very fresh (but frozen). They ruined our labels, but packed the meat well. Just ignore the labels please. https://www.reservemeats.com/distributor/azure

18 plus a pound? Is that a joke?

Wish you well in this venture. Nice to see beef with a product of the United States of America statement. Sure would be nice to get mandatory country of origin labeling back but our packing industry overseers ain't never gonna let that happen. Product of the USA is a meaningless statement. At least until the new rules take effect, if they do. As of now as long as it's processed here, the meat can come from the Congo for all we know with that label. New label the everything has to originate here
