I just ordered a couple to try, has anyone used the RBG's before? I figured I'd try out the 330 size and get more if I end up liking them. I could see the 440's working good for lynx cubbies. Just looking for some other's opinions on the RBG's

I've got a couple dozen 150's with double springs I'm looking forward to trying on dryland blind sets and log crossings for mink.

I might get some smaller ones too if I like the 330's. Also kind of curious about the 440's, but that'll have to be another order.

Check out the MB1216, I think you will like them for both wolverine and lynx. Less refusals, big strong traps with a cable and swivel attached from the factory. Made in USA by MTP.

https://www.minntrapprod.com/MB-1216-JC/productinfo/MB1216/

Order straight from MTP or have Ted in Tok order them and maybe save some shipping if possible, Teds fur shed.

I bought a few of the 330s 10 years or so ago. I like them fine, but for me at least, I didn't find them to be either a advantage or a disadvantage over a traditional 330. I've never bought any more, because the price is a bit high considering they didn't seem to offer any kind of an advantage over a traditional body grip, but they are good strong traps and it's cool to have a few.

I'll look into those too. That's why I was looking at the 440's too, I figured a bigger opening looks more inviting. I don't know that I'd want to use them in the water a whole bunch, seems like you'd hip catch a lot of the quicker moving otter

The 1216’s hold onto things. Always fun when you have an otter by the tail.

I'm sure they do, I was talking about the 440 RBG's in water sets, if I like the 330's I'm gonna order a few for lynx/wolverine cubbies and I was just saying I'd wonder about otter zipping through and getting hip caught if I were to use them in the water

I used a lot of RBG160s for coon In trail sets, and they out preformed the square type 160s. They just blend in better.

That's what I was hoping for. I'm going to try the 330's first, and if I like them I'm going to order some 440's for lynx/wolverine cubbies. I figure a bigger opening and a more natural shape can only help things

I didn't care for the ones I had and I sold them but I seem to be the only one on the internet that doesn't like them. I use a long cable on my body grips and there were signs of struggle on the catches I made.

Went and picked up my mail a couple days ago, they showed up and they seem like a solid trap. Got them dipped in vinegar water and hanging to get some rust started, gonna try to get the shed warmed up enough to paint them tomorrow night.

I bought them in the classifieds here. Pretty sure he ordered them from the manufacturer. I don't think they add the second spring commercially until you get up to the 160 size.

Bill crum is the guys name I think. I have seen them double springed in smaller sizes, I just haven't seen them available at MTP or F&T
