Such interesting markings on them. The one I got from you a few years back is still my favorite amongst what I have hanging.

Congratulations on a good start!

How are their numbers been looking the last few years Bruce? There seems to be considerably less in my areas these days.

Thanks Paul Dobbins for this site, that enables trappers to feel included in a society that don’t seem to include our sport

I have noticed you can trap them out if you just keep at it. I used to leave a trap in a spot until they stopped coming. I had thought because so much of the country was closed off to me and I was only trapping near the gate that any over trapping would fill back in from the miles of country that was inaccessible. Last couple years I started managing things differently. I trap one at a location and pull. I hope this will keep the population stable and the places I over trapped I have been resting. I was trapping near a hundred a year for a while. Last couple years 30 or 40 is all I have trapped. This year I hope a few more than that.

That is what I was wondering about too if previous years efforts were slowing things down.

Boy you aren’t kidding….just today I was saying how I feel alienated from my co workers and even a little hostility. They aren’t ANTIS, but I’m starting to feel like I don’t belong because of what I love. I am grateful for this place and the people in my family who are accepting

Nice.
A furrier with a little imagination could whip up something real nice with some of those and some bobcat bellies.

We aren't allowed to trap spotted skunks in VA. Not sure how the trap would know the difference. Don't think it's a problem anyway cause in 25 years I've never seen one here. They is pretty though!
