Beaver is my favorite bait

Bruce ...did you try putting a little beaver lure on the bait ???

A few years ago I didn’t have much bait, I did have a bunch of California ground squirrels frozen. Cut them in half and caught all sorts of stuff. If I remember right I had a weasel, lots of marten and a badger in my sets. The squirrels stink bad. Beaver is also my favorite, does not dry out and is pretty bloody.

Little Castor in all the sets wouldnt hurt along with some skunky smell in the Fisher sets.

Can you use grouse there?

I’ve been having really good luck with Jeremiah’s sweetness lure in the box by the beaver. Cavens tree climber in the box has been good as well. Jeremiah’s LDC on every set outside the box.

What a mess with the snow.Downed trees everywhere.Pulled 16 sets furthest in.Caught 3 more ermine.Got to cut my way thru tomorrow to get to the rest of my sets.

Got to the rest of my sets.Cut Alot of trees blocking the road to get to them.One spot there was a dozen trees down to gather.What a mess.Got them all pulled.In the fresh snow did not see one track.Did catch 2 muskrats in two blind sets for mink at the same bridge.Final total 70 muskrats,4 ermine.
