Why don't you just learn how to properly and efficiently do what you want to do?

Skin and debone deer.
Flesh coon.
Tan and sell fur.

I love to skin and and process animals, I always help other people do it to. We did that not because I was "lazy" and didn't want to do it, it's because that guy is like that best at getting the best cut on the meat and everything

Now I do hate fleshing coons cuz I suck at it but other than that I love everything

It was more about the meat than skinning, me and my dad suck at cutting the meat off of deer, we get like a certain amount of a same size deer he gets like 5 more pounds then us. It's just his cuts

Yea,,OK.Ive said my piece.Good luck to you.

Put as much time into researching how to manage your cuts on a deer you harvested and you could do as good a job as the guy you’re paying $50 to.

Booyah… $50 ‘profit’. The math maths. I guarantee it.

Just in the time it would take you to break the hide correctly with limited tools you could have made 20-30 dollars working at Mcdonalds. There is no shortage of tanned fur now- boco is the only one making money at it.

Prices on eBay and Etsy and every other place are the prices people WANT for the pelts. But how many to they actually sell.

You can ask for what ever you want does not mean people will pay that price.

I admire your enthusiasm but I think you are in for a rude awakening when you actually start selling tanned fur. IF that ever happens. You say you are 13 - by the time you are 18 real fur might be totally outlawed.

Quicker way of making money.

I can't do this till I'm 18 tho, if I buy it stretched and dried for let's say $8 with this crappy fur market, tan it and sell it for $50 or even $70 that's like 80 to 90% profit.

And to tan will only cost me about $1 using trubond because you don't use the whole entire kit of stuff.

Spend $9 make $50 $50-$9 = $41 profit[/quote]

A lot of things missing in your business plan that takes away from those "profits" like business registration and permits, taxes, insurance, warehousing, shipping and logistics, just to name a fe

I know people who make a living this way, but it ain't easy and you have to be a really good tanner and furrier. Start by tanning some of your own and get good at that first, then decide if it's a hobby or a business.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I don't understand how you can't get the same amount of meat. I don't think anyone could get any more off this one. My 14 year old processed this one. My 12 year Olds look the same when done. almost like they had the same teacher. If the guy is better ask him to teach you.

some people use gloves because infected cracks in our hands are not good , flairs up the arthritis.

I gutted deer bare handed when I was young also

what is smarter , dealing with the infection or not getting it in the first place

skin your deer it is super easy , cut them up save you a pile of money

come back in 40 years when every sinking little think takes 10-20 times longer to heal , and everything you did stupid hurts for days and you will realize who is the wuss

these guys you are calling wusses experience more pain before noon than you will all week.

they call it , better than the grave.

If the guy packed the deer he killed as well for only 50 bucks I don’t blame him. Kid it’s America do what you want. I paid 125 bucks to have a doe processed for my elderly neighbor. Backed up to Amish butcher shop. They dragged it out. 2 days later they called said it was ready.
