After checking we put in some cats sets this morning on couple farms, now that season is open here today.
Here is a big hole set where trail comes out of cedar thicket and into picked corn field. Bait, skunky lure, in the hole, and wad of cassette tape fluttering on stick planted behind the hole.




We put several blind trail sets in too. Had good luck with those in right locations.

Two outside are big, two in middle were smaller.

A friend of mine found a road killed badger a few years back in the mid-to-late winter. It wasn't too busted up so he gave it to me. I put it up and sent it to FHA that spring. It went for $34 before commission. I was happy and I even gave my buddy $10.

They say that diggers prime up later than most critters and late winter around here can be good, if the gravel township roads aren't a complete mud fest. We'll see in 2025.
