Ha. Dont remember those things. Born in 78. But i do remember making one of those hot dog cookers in 5th grade science class with nails and alkaline batteries.

We had one.
It was a finger sized electric chair.
And if you touched the left and right contacts it would give quite a jolt.
Never liked the smell of the electrocuted weenies.

My grandfather patented that type of device back in the 30,40's...never made a dime on it, lol

You have a pretty one!

Ours was a white bottom with the lid rimmed in red. A cheap but effective unit. Microwaves were just starting to show up in kitchens and they were expensive. The hot dog ends used to get blown up a bit if you left it on too long.
