Cool
Few around here
Funny law down here, you can't "pick one up" off the road Pick up any other critter but not an otter. That's weird. I'm sure you could pick one up off the road here, but I wouldn't bother, still has to get sealed in most/every unit (not sure about statewide, I know every unit I've lived in otter have to be sealed within 30 days of season end)

Set some snares around the cubby, And I always set two or 3 traps side by side with block sticks. It pays to gang set for otter and it cuts down on the fencing.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I have another set identical to this one at the next pinch point upstream. I added an MB 750 in the trail going to the cubby, I didn't see why it wouldn't come back on the same trail for another snack Edit: I see why you'd think I fenced all that off, the brush coming in from the far side was already there, I just poked in a spruce limb on either side

I was just talking in general, when a channel is only wide enough for one trap we set multiples in series. Where channels or runs are wider we set two or three side by side with block sticks so you will have traps working after a catch for the next one that comes along. Multiple setting in good spots allows longer check times and thus longer or more lines can be run.

Good job! My favorite animal to trap. I really like them too. It's like getting to use your beaver trapping gear for a chess game
