I have a deal with the lottery. I pay them $2 not to call any of my numbers.

just to put playing the lottery in perspective.

If you had a roulette wheel that had 1" wide slots for each chance at winning, the diameter of the wheel would be approx 33 miles.

Now pick the one slot that the ball will fall in in a 33 mile dia wheel.

Good luck. crazy

Your odds of winning the big jackpot are as likely as being struck by lighting twice in the same day.

Still fun to give it a spin and dream for a bit, for some.

I sure everyone wast more than $2.00-$4.00 a week on something you don’t have a chance of wining anything on.

I hope to win the lottery soon. My chance of winning is not significantly hampered by the fact I don't buy lottery tickets.

You gotta be in it to win it!

That said, I never bye a lottery ticket, unless it's for some godawful big money, but then I usually just forget.... grin

The ONLY time I buy a lotto ticket is when the pot is stupid high and they get a group together at work and everyone puts in $20

And I only buy then because on the slim chance they win I don't want to be stuck by myself with the mess left when they all leave wink

Sounds like my dad. He would say, not if, but when he wins, could we drive him down to the Twin Cities to collect his money?

I rarely buy lotto tickets but when I do I aways ask for losing tickets. Then I gave to explain to the cashier why I ask for losing tickets vs winning. The odds of me losing are much greater than winning so I feel better when I lose as I got what I asked for. And if I actually win, then I just have to deal with it....

odds of winning Mega millions lottery is 1 in 302,575,350

302 Million. mull that over, if you think spending your money on it is a good use then you are a eternal optimist.

Me, I'm more of a realist, I have never spent a penny on a lottery.

A good bet would be that those that buy lottery tickets will never win. The odds are VERY skewed on that bet.
