Correction, after checking the Canadian records it appears no Canadian troops ever entered the US. Only their British owners dropped and left muskets here.

The pseudo socialism thing they have going in Canada doesn't seem to work very well, last time I went to the L48 I flew to Spokane, bought a pickup in Idaho and put a slip tank in the back because I knew Canada was going to do terrible (prison like) things to me at the fuel pump, and I was glad I bought that slip tank because the 100 gallons of diesel I brought with me paid for the tank. The first time I had to buy Canadian diesel at $7.00 per LITER I almost puked. At the exchange rate at that time (couple years ago) I figured I was spending around $12.00 USD per gallon for diesel. That ridiculousness carries on across pretty much anything you could need to buy in Canada.

I thought it was implied that $7.00 per liter was CAD, as that was the posted price. Which came out to approximately $12 US per gallon at the time. Also, it's just banter, as you stated so I'm not taking the time to figure out hard numbers, you aren't my accountant. And considering I grew up in a few different logging camps and never went to school past 8th grade, I'm fairly sharp. So if you want specifics, I actually paid $12.86 USD per gallon for diesel in Whitehorse. It was $15.54 USD per gallon in Watson Lake. This is of course assuming there's 3.7 liters to a gallon, correct me if I'm mistaken, I come from a place where we use different measurements and we don't have a queen on our money
