I never cooked with the fat but once I used the roast carcass to make soup with mushrooms and potatoes. Never had anything so delicious. Duck is tasty there just isn’t enough meat in them I feel…

Yes we cook with it a lot, has a great smoking point for searing
And even for deep frying if you can afford it lol
We like to coat baby reds in it and roast In the oven!

Get a Pekin or Muscovy and roast it. Collect the fat , trust me you’ll have plenty . Great flavor we like it. Save some money compared to buying the fat alone , and get a nice duck meal out of it.

if you can't find it head to a area with more Jews , it is a Kosher fat although not near as popular as it was before Crisco.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Yes duck fat, from domestic ducks is a great cooking fat, My grandmother used to use goose fat, they always had geese on the farm in Bavaria... duck, goose, lard, tallow, bear, all good fats
