I'm wondering how most of you store your conibears during the off season ~
do you store them with the springs set or relaxed?
Does it weaken the springs to leave them set for extended periods of time?
Appreciate your thoughts & comments!

If I give everything ~ is it enough?

Leaving them set does nothing to the springs. Heat and rust are spring enemies. I leave all my set unless I mess up pulling em.

Some people leave them set, some don't. I don't think it matters either way. l leave the springs set but not the jaws sometimes. The ones in long term storage I leave un-set.

I leave them unset, only because they have been stored awhile. Had the old Northwoods that were incredibly weak, probably why I do as is. Beav said more than a few times , he leaves set,.good enough for me!
He's been around awhile! wink
