Flipper 56's thread about the starlings reminded me of the time me and my buddy caught a gunny sack full of starlings at a local granery one night. Alan, my buddy always had some of the best ideas. He suggested we quietly place the sack between the front door and screen door of our junior high school speech teacher. After all, Mr. stockings always liked a good joke. When the birds had mostly left the bag and were hanging all over the screen door, Alan rang the doorbell and took off. I was hiding in the bushes across the street and when Mr. Stockings opened the door it did indeed look like a scene from "The Birds". Fortunately Mr. Stockings did have a good sense of humor and didn't ask for the death penalty, but I sure got a good butt kicking from my dad when the truth finally came out. Just seemed like such a great idea at the time.

Anyone else like to share?

I and my buddies once stuffed 20'some garter snakes in our mailbox; the mailman was not happy.

We went to a party at a kids parents house in High School and stripped all the labels off the canned goods and then put them back in the cupboard. They had no idea if they were opening Alpo or green beans.

I have nothing clever to put here.

A bird story similar to foxhunters:
Senior year of high school a few weeks before graduation. Caught a couple sacks full of sparrows and starlings from several barns. Took them to school very early in the morning and planted an epic surprise, bur first a little explanation.
The halls of the school were lined with student lockers, about 2 ft. wide and 5 ft. tall on both floors. They all had combination locks, but it was common practice to jam the lock mechanism with something so all you had to do was open the door. So each jammed locker got a bird or two placed inside until I ran out of birds.
As you can imagine, chaos ensued first thing in the morning when lockers were opened and the halls filled with birds.
For some reason, I was immediately the prime suspect, but the Principal couldn't prove it. (This was 1985, pre survellance camera days). I have never seen another person that angry in my entire life.
It was several days before the last birds were either shooed out or killed.

Back in high school on the wrestling team we would stop off at McDonalds on the school bus.Mark Tash.Alan Tash and myself always ate togather. We always ordered double cheeseburgers.Alan had to use the bathroom so he was later sitting down to eat.Mark and I had just sat down when I told him to hid his pickle from his double cheeseburger under his napkin and follow me.Alan comes and sits down and I open my cheeseburger and say nope no pickle.Mark then opens his and nope no pickle. So Alan opens his up asking whats going on?He says his has a pickle.I say you lucky dog you win a free double cheeseburger..........I still remember Alan going up to the counter and slapping his pickle down asking for his free double cheeseburger....... laugh

Back in the nineties, I gave two teenagers, I knew, 4 bags of sparrows and starlings to let go in their high school. They never got caught.

in high school (>25 years ago) on halloween we borrowed Dad's chainsaw and took the chain off. We drove around on the edge of town and found a big group of middle school kids out trick or treating, walking on the edge of the subdivision. There were houses on one side of the road, open field on the other, sorta dark. My friend was driving a truck. We slowly approached the kids from behind. Half a block behind them the truck paused paused, I stepped out, the truck starts idling forward again. I'm walking behind the truck. He was driving slow enough he didn't get very far ahead of me. As the truck caught up to the group of kids, my friend hits the gas and drives around them. As the engine revs, all the kids turn to look at the truck. With the revving truck swerving around them, none of them see me sprinting up behind them. As I catch up to the kids, I pull the cord on the chain saw. The saw starts first pull. I hold it over my head revved to full speed, running as fast as I can. At this point, the truck is in front of them, stopped again. The kids scatter in both directions away from me as I run through the middle of them, jump into the back of the truck, and my friend takes off.

Looking back on it, it could have gone wrong in so many ways. But it went perfectly. We never had the nerve to try it again.

Caught a skunk in a cage trap and managed to get it into an old suitcase. Srt the suitcase along the side of a gravel road and hid up on a grassy knoll so we could watch the event about to take place. Sure enough a car full of guys come zipping down the road and locked up the breaks. One guy jumped out of the back seat and tossed it into the car. He then jumped in and thet sped off only to make it about a block before coming to a sketching halt where as 4 guys bailed out of the car. It was hard to see with all the dust but I'm sure no air freshener in the world was going to help get rid of the smell in that car!

Our house mother in college was always stressed out that we might have rats and was always setting rat traps around. I finally decided that a dead 15 lb nutria might get a rise out of her when she checked the trap one morning. She just about climbed the wall when she went around the corner and her shrieks may have caused lasting psychological damage to a few of the more fragile guys that lived there.

There was a big deal story in my Mom's hometown about problem Geese wandering all over eating grass etc in front lawns and crapping all over. One day before light I snuck over and put some Goose Deke's on the lawn and hid in the bushes with a Goose call. I could hear her dog barking then here she comes out in bathrobe, fuzzy slippers and hair curlers with a slice of bread trying to feed them. I LMAO, and she was whizzed for a week.

We had a large machine called a stacker in our town, only two left in the world, they were used for pulp processing for wood in the paper processing business, long ways up. One night some kids climbed up to the top and hung a dummy from it as if hanging ones self. Quite the turnout the next morning. No one got hurt or caught. My parents still don't know who did it.

One day we turned 3 rabbits loose in school, the 3 were numbered with paint on there backs, 1, 2 , and 4. The school couldn't find number 3 anywhere? Never did find it! LOL

Years ago some aggies from a neighboring school got a fat hog and made a mask for it to squirt ether in and figured out how to "quiet it down"for the time needed to get to the school 9in the center of the county seat). They sprayed the name of an unpopular large teacher on its side and some got on top of the school and lifted it up with ropes and lowered it down into the school court yard. Quite the stink was made. Never was solved by the authorities. Aggies pull the best pranks!

Precamera days! Had a young teacher that liked to pull pranks and he did on I and a fellow teacher one spring. Revenge is a dish best served cold! So my partner and I waited until the next fall. The young guy was an assistant football coach. We waited for a football game that we thought they would win and was an away game. After everyone left for the day we stuffed his car with shredded paper. It was cold this day. We then wrapped it all the way around, top-bottom- and sides with saran wrap. We laid on the ground and passed the wrap and tape back and forth. We then proceeded to front to back, top-bottom-sides to wrap it with Duct tape, yep gray duct tape. We were running short to finish the job, people were coming up to watch us and then went and bought more duct tape for us. When they got home from the game which they won it took him and six students 1:15 hours to clean it and unwrap it.

Not when young by age just actions. The same young guy as above was across the hall from me and really on a roll on being a pain in the butt. So when he had his prep hour and a meeting back to back, I and my class cleaned his room out every desk, table and chair and put it all on the football field, set up just as his room.

Not me but a family nephew. A nearby school had come to our town and spray painted a bunch of areas with inappropriate sayings. My nephew and his buddies devised a payback plan. They went to one of their farms grabbed some atrazine and proceed to spray their conference mascot in the center of the other towns/schools football field. They had to resurface that area to get it to grow back.
