This isn’t going to be the most normal question but is there any type of lure that can be put on a tree to get a beaver to start chewing on it? I trap coons so idk much about beavers. Obviously it’s an odd question but I would like to know. There’s lots of beaver huts in the area so there is no lack of beavers.

You dont have to put anything on a food tree to get the beavers to chew it down.
Are you trying to train them to cut brush?

In a way, yes. I know it’s odd. Couple trees that I would like to see get taken out. Lots of other trees and shrubs in the area being knocked down by beavers. They are far off on a beatin path so getting down to cut them would be tough. Curious if I could get nature to make it happen. Yes I know I sound crazy ha.

Maybe try "scuffing" the tree up with an ax? For attraction. Make an easy path for the animal to get to it?
