At one point last week, it was being reported that the Hallmark Chanel had more people watching those horrid Christmas movies than watching either MSDNC or CNN.

On most days, there are at least 2X more people listening to what Joe Rogan has to say on his podcast than getting news from MSDNC or CNN. And same for dozens more podcasts and channels on youtube and Rumble.

Gaslighting. Tell a lie, tell it often, tell it confidently and everybody has to tell the same lie, which means you have to deny access to the truth or alternative viewpoints. The major left wing news outlets used to have full control of information. They don't anymore. The truth gets out......and when it does........and you find out the major news outlets are just engaged in gaslighting........lying........you turn that off.

Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

There is also a difference between information journalism and influence journalism. Think of a newspaper. Front page vs. Opinion page. Major news outlets now only offer influence journalism. Opinion masquarading as news on the front page.
