Cactus bucks. Never sheds his velvet and antlers grow year around.
They don't grow a main beam and with age usually end end up with really weird antlers and freakish number of points.
Thought I saw velvet on him last year in February but tiny antlers and couldn't be sure. Got some up to camera pics this year and he's definitely in full velvet.

He's probably missing some parts downstairs

Great drop tine on the one in the last picture. If you ever shoot the first one pictured it would be interesting to see if it is a doe with antlers.

Thought of that but last year in January and February when the bucks were back in their bachelor groups he was running with the bucks so I'm guessing it identifies as a he.....??? But now adays how does one know for sure?

I have a couple of yearlings around like that. They usually straighten out but not always.

About 1/3 of the bucks were like that in the area we hunted last year on Kodiak. The biologist said it is caused from the does eating large amounts of kelp while carrying the buck fetus. I guess kelp is high in estrogen which screws up the bucks testes. They don't participate in rut so they just get fat and can survive tough winters easier.
