I just know he was headed to the vet with him after carrying him out of the woods.

This was the exact reason I got into coyote trapping last year. They started coming into my back yard after my male lab. I ended up catching 23, neighbor caught another 7. Another neighbor and his son shot 8-9 more. All within about a 2 mile radius.

So far this year, only caught 2, bit deer season was hard on them. 13 shot by the neighbors. They were howling close enough to the house that it woke me up last night.

I am not a fan of them, but do respect them.

Me too. Can't have a small dog here. Coyotes took my friends dog in front of her. Barn cats will not last long.

The dog sadly died.Just found out.

Yea they git a guys beagle here a few years ago and tore her up pretty good but she survived.

Hate'm with a passion...One got my dog pretty good 20 yrs ago. 60 stitches to sew up his rear end.

I knew where he layed up during the day, so waited for a perfect afternoon right before dark to call him in with a Tweety handcall. Got him to within 25 ft, first load of 3" mag 12 ga was "rock salt", second load was a 3" mag of #9's.

Let him dance for a min, then 3" mag of #2 lead to put his lights out...Yep, I truly hate'm & no I don't respect them at all.

sounds like time to go to war. Was what finally got me into killing Coyotes. I never saw a point to killing them. Then a friend at works wife's dog got killed by them a few months after his wife died.
