I got some Blake and lamb jumps a few months ago, I thought by looking at them they were #3's but they're single springs, and I can't find any evidence of B&L making a single underspring #3. So I'm guessing they're #2's. Just seeing if they're worth holding onto or if I should incorporate them into one of my lines somewhere for their intended purpose

At 5 3/4" your trap is a #2.

The #3 Blake & Lamb single underspring is 6 1/2".

Starting, I believe in 1968, all Blake & Lamb traps were made by Animal Trap Company/Woodstream. So, the undersprings are basically an Oneida Jump with a B&L pan and the long springs, Victors with B&L pans. The easiest way to tell is that the ATC/Woodstream made traps have a humped cross and Tenso pattern chain. Previously, a pan on a post and Lock Link chain. The #3 single underspring are difficult to find, because there were not many made compared to the other sizes.

Okay, just making sure they weren't something uncommon before I go catch otters with them. I have a few of the #3 double under springs, but I really don't care for them, they just hang in the shed for aesthetic purposes
