My favorite trap for them is the MB750. I have never had one get out of that trap once they are in it.

The key.....IMO .....is to target their back feet. Both of them.

The only experience I had with one, I wouldn't have trusted that old trap to hold anything not being drowned. Maybe a mink. But I was a 21 year old kid, so I barely had the gas money to get my boat up and down my line, let alone buy a new trap or two. Lessons learned lol

So two footholds and get them to reach while standing on their hind feet.

Yes that is my preferred set. Don't place the bait high enough to make them climb............just stand up. And tie each trap in the opposite direction so they can't cross and tangle.

That was what I was thinking about the 330's for wolverine like in my old fisher sets. Not high enough to climb.Maybe if theres sign of wolverine being around a few snares added where the wolverine might circle around the set as well with the footholds underneath.Thanks.Great information

IMO.............you can almost always depend on Gulo to circle any set. If I used cubbies.......and I used to...... for wolverine.... I would place a snare on the back side regularly. The trouble with cubbies for wolverine is that they often get plugged up with marten..........so you miss the wolverine AND lose the marten that he takes out of the trap.

330's are fairly efficient ......but not everywhere. Also they have the downside of getting plugged up with marten AND they are non-selective as well as fatal. I prefer a set that I can release a critter if circumstances warrant it. Tough to do that with a 330
