Looking for some feedback/suggestions on where in the adirondacks to take my 10 year old son on a fishing trip for 3-4 days next summer. Interested in staying in a lodge or cabin and just exploring and fishing trout ponds around the area. Was doing some research on the Saint Regis area but am a little overwhelmed by info generated by internet searches as I've never taken an out of state trip before. Any thoughts or info is appreciated.

Do a couple of backyard campouts first, then maybe some local spots to get him used to being outside at night.

I use to have my NYS Guides lic and took clients into remote Adirondack Brook trout ponds and lakes. 1st what kind of fish do you want to fish for and are you going to bring a canoe ? Are you going to drive a SUV or pick up truck ? Answer those questions and Maybe I cam make suggestions.
