I get a flash back when ever I smell canvas that's hot from the sun, or hear an Itallian bird, (helos) (Wop Wop Wop Wop), Welcome Home my brothers!

Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

Remember Bowe Bergdahl, the traitor.

Beware! Jill Pudlewski, Ron Oates and Keven Begesse are liars and thiefs!

I didn't get there either. I had orders to go there twice, but they were cancelled when the folks I was replacing extended. The closest I got was Guam, where I worked in the bomb dump getting the bombs ready for the B-52s flying Arc Light missions. In our EOD shops, the bell rang a 1630 and the bar was open. Every shop I was in had a bar. I doubt that's allowed these days.

The happiest for me was leaving PLeiku in a Caribou to flly to Long bein to leave but there were several happy hours or times when the units we deployed in choppers for missions arrived back safe and sound. The not so good times were needing to go out and recover avionics from the downed choppers. Sometimes but not always there were people waiting for our arrival.

I love the warriors...the war itself not too much. Crazy. Thanks to those that served.

Thank God I was born in '57.
