I've had so many close calls lately when driving. Seriously thinking I should have front and rear dash cams.
Anyone here have cameras that they been happy with. I was looking on Amazon seems there are plenty different ones at wide price range. Anyone have recommendations?? Something that will clearly see guy has to pass and squeeze threw changing lanes in traffic circle. Crazy crap..

Couple months ago on HWY 7 Olathe KS a woman headed north turned left in an intersection I was traveling south through. I mashed on the brakes and she bounced off my drive tires instead of decapitating herself by going under the trailer. No damage to my truck. Those intersections all have cameras. Cop asked me for my license and insurance then spent half an hour with her. When I go back to work this spring I will have one.

They are used heavily in Russia and other countries. Probably a good idea these days to have one, but keep in mind, if you screw up, the footage can be used against you as well....

I've had several through the years, all of them worked per what they said they would do, was never unhappy with any of them, but I paid a bit more for the latter ones recently, around $75.00 to $100.00, just depends on what you feel you want with one!

Most all have a reverse cameras in them, they really don't work to well depending on you back window size, all had a couple hours or more of storage, a few had less, I would change them because of the lens in them as they got better, because I would be out in the wild doing my hunting, and also one job I had was not pleasant to drive back and forth to get there, bad freeway interchanges with crazy people taking chances like you have seen !

Most can also run on battery's so you don't need a cable to wire up, but having the straight wiring is nice when you are parked in a sketchy area, I also shut the speaker off to keep conversations off it if in an accident, like has been mentioned they can prove or disprove, depending on a lawyer's view !

They can also be set to come on when your car is moved a bit to see why, wind or theft ! If you need that !
