How many of you had two or more complete joint replacements? I had a hip and shoulder replacement. I still need the opposite hip and a knee replaced. Just found out I now need a 3rd replacement which is my opposite shoulder which is shot. This sucks. I wonder how much more this old body can take.

I had both hips done at the same time, and both knees, same thing, It's helped a lot, both shoulders are shot but I'm not going there. I get steroid shots in the shoulders which only helps short term, can't get the gel cause theres no room for it , bone on bone.
If your in decent health your body recovers quickly, but the shoulder surgeries scare me, from what I was told by the surgeon was theres a lot of limitations, still will have limited mobility but the pain should be gone, maybe. YMMV.

Doc told me you never re

Doc told me you never regain all your flexibility in the shoulder after surgery. However, I got back about 75% which I am pleased plus the pain is gone. Actually, the shoulder surgery went better than the hip surgery. More pain with the latter. However, it did take a lot longer for rehab for the shoulder in which I did diligently.

Just lower back surgery for me

Hips twice. may1991-aug1991 then june2008-aug2008. Supposed to last rest of life.

Both knees, right one twice.

Friend of mine has an old one, (knee), said they have roughly a 20 year lifespan, I guess it depends on the make and model, my surgeon said he uses the "Mercedes Benz" quality model, lol. Hope it goes until I don't...

Both shoulders. Knee replacement scheduled after turkey season in the spring. Think I will miss hearing a gobble on a cool spring morning more than anything when I can’t go anymore.

I've had both hips replaced and I don't regret it one bit. No pain not on any meds. Guy Can't fight genetics and I got screwed by that with type of adult onset MD. Like it or not I'm now considered disabled. Not a thing I can do about it except keeping moving until I can't.

Is that for the surgery? My guy insists you need a dental clearance before operating, a lot of docs don't, He says you don't want any bacteria running through you system and infecting the implant. All dental work must be completed before surgery

Yeppers! Need to have it all done at least a month before the surgery.
