I have only seen pictures so far going to walk out and look at it in a few minutes but he is excited thinking it may br rare. I had to ask him what are his plans if it's rare. let it go kill it have it tuned ect. if the plan is to kill it why not shoot it and bring it up for me to look at it instead of wanting me to walk back there.( knee started bothering me again a few days ago). he said it very dark mostly black all over. looks like a dark coon to me. it's nice to see him excited though. He needs to learn how to take good pictures though.

looking at it in person he is correct I have never seen one colored like this. I have shot some dark coyotes but never a dark coon I may see what it cost to have this one mounted for him.

we used to call them fisher coon.

I called my guy and a friend's . My guy is backed up and my friends that hous lookk like walking into bass pro guy us out of freezer space and told me to call back later in the year. I made some space in the freezer and that's where it will stay until I find someone to mount it. BUT I want someone that's good at it. I had my daughter first squirrel mounted on a borrow I cut off a tree that had a hole in it and within 6 years it's fur was falling out. I don't want a repeat of that. so I need someone with great reputation.
