Back when fur brought money and I was young I trapped quite a bit . Now that I am approaching retirement I have started gathering stuff to run a small line. After reading the rules repeatedly I have about 20 ft x80 ft that meets guidelines for me to trap on my property. To not upset anyone I have about 20x20 hidden back in the corner . I’m in a suburban area so only box trap or dog proof are ethical to me. So I set my first ever dog proof set yesterday. This morning I had a possum, it’s not much but my first catch in nearly 40 years
We plan on moving once I retire

I'll bet you'd be surprised what actually travels through that area. Keep em set, and stack em up!

Trapping is trapping

You can work on the squirrels, rats and gophers as well

Your neighbors find out you are working pests and trash can dumpers over you might get a small "line" started smile

I’ll bet most of us started in our yards. For me it was rabbit snares…..sometimes the neighbours cat when I was 7 or 8 years old. Quick check on the walk to school resulted in frozen rabbits for show & tell…..lol

Wind Blew, crap flew, out came the line crew

Come home and walked out to check my traps. I reset the dog proof and set a box trap. House cat in the box trap and an average size raccoon in the dog proof

Take the garden hose to that cat, and you'll never catch it again...unless it's a 220 type box trap, then you'll never catch it again anyway!
