Northern states in our area, everyone seems to reap some reward. The hunters that live and breathe to chase deer reap the reward, the businesses reap a lot of money from the hunters that infiltrate the area and the farmers reap a lot of cash in the form of lease fees...which are getting pretty high in some areas. The farmers are far from the helpless victims in the grand scheme of things...

One local timber company here takes in well over 2 million $$ per year from hunting leases. And that's just one company. There are 3 large land-owning companies in my area of Georgia alone....They all lease their land to hunters.

Who did you say were reaping those profits? The state?

Btw...Georgia's possum cop agency doesn't get one dollar from anything related to wildlife management.

Not sure about your state of Nebraska.
