Tatiana, I agree, for decades, I have noticed the similarity of structure , so similar to human limbs. That makes sense, as the way of getting around takes the same basic pivots and axis points of turning and grasping.
It is such a marvel of mastered movement, our limbs, and those of animals, I am transfixed at slow motion video of them in action. There is nothing more beautiful than to study life in slow motion video.
Prosthetics have come a long way in helping to be mobile again. Especially human legs , but there is nothing mechanical that will ever rival the astounding , artistic way everything works, with skin, muscle, tendon, cartilage, and bones, to twist, pivot, grasp, lift, or press, of the human body. Much less, the sheer beauty of movement in action.
I have never carved antler , ivory, or simulated material , someday it would be fun to try.
Well done on your carvings , they are so nice to see.
Rosomahi, huh ? Or Rossamaha ? I have learned a new name for them . A good title for my next piece of art depicting one.

Rosomahi, huh ? Or Rossamaha ? I have learned a new name for them . A good title for my next piece of art depicting one. Rosom aha is singular. Rosom ahi is plural. Our nouns still have grammatical genders, just like English a few centuries ago, and a rosomaha is a "she" by default. It's a strange word with an unclear etymology. Also for some reason, most people pronounce it with an extended [s], so intuitively you want to spell it as "rossomaha" (and this is how it is spelled in some old books), plus since our phonetics is more relaxed than English, with most unstressed vowels reduced to a generic "uh"-like sound, Jack is actually pretty accurate in his transcription of how the word actually sounds

So amazing I'm at a loss for words. Thank you so much for sharing your passions, hard work and gifts with us.
In your last photo, I love the contrast with your carving and your cartoon like depictions of animals on the note paper to the right

That's amazing. The ability to see that and then execute in 3D is superb.
