Hobbie put those little yellow or orange flags (like the have on go-karts) on the tips of your shoes. Partner that with an old gumball flashing light and you're good night or day.

66 1/2 here and so far so good. I try to be extra careful though when doing things that might present a fall. But I know it's only a matter of time before my first bad fall.

I am 78. Once or twice each deer season I trip and fall in the woods. Does this count?

There is merit to that...Judo teaches how to fall safely. It can help one not to get injured further if they can try and keep some things in mind in case of accident.

I thought Charles was a tween 16...go figure ...

Big deal about falling is don't put your hands out to catch yourself, chipped a bone in my wrist that way.
I fall good just don't land good.

Hall carpet runners caused several falls. Always at the end of the hallway, wall end! Then I dropped a flat tire out of the truck and I was on large gravel when the tire came after me. Last thing before the big pain was I got this...LOL Broken Femur in 5 places, 3 + weeks stay in hospital. Knees caused the fall and knees are still bad. Motorized wheelcchair is the way to go after 80!, cant fall setting...LOL

GETTIN OLD IS GETTIN OLD!

I'm 72. I went in for a medical checkup a few weeks back. One of the questions the Dr. asked was, "Do you fall" My answer was "mostly just trip on sagebrush." He gave me a thumbs up.

I have been involved in marital arts for awhile now. Has not helped with falling safely but I can say yes dear fast as anybody. I know to say those pants make your butt even sexier when asked if its pants making her butt look fat.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I learned how to fall a long time ago so I dont get hurt too bad.
I started falling more often a couple years ago when my legs started to stiffen up from old age, cant lift my feet as high as I used to thus trip over more stuff in the bush now.
It helps to do some leg stretches for about 15 minutes in the morning while getting dressed.

I took a biff while trapping today too. It definitely takes longer to get up than when I was younger. I had to take a moment to collect myself and several attempts to get up. I had to take my shirt off and shake off all the snow! At least it was on land and not thru the ice. I’m not sure how or if I could get out from falling thru the ice anymore. It really does suck getting old!!
