I took some time off recently and spent nearly the whole time out on the land. Day1 was a round trip check to the marten line. picked up 18 marten and a couple fox there. day 2 and 3 was a caribou hunt with my boy. we gave all the meat away ahead of Christmas so everyone can enjoy a good meal. day 4 I spent in my warehouse skinning fur and doing some gear maintenance and snare making. day 5 i made a round trip to my cabin breaking trail the whole way and setting 14 wolverine boxes on good sign. Lots of work to do out there so Ill plan to spend more time out there soon. Right the next morning I took off back to the marten line and picked up another 10 of which 8 were big males. staying busy and making plans to get even busier in the coming days and weeks. Barely took any pictures.

Tracks came out if the thick trees and started following our trail. It destroyed one marten box then the very next trap was this 330.

A lynx fox marten and a mink from my camp line. Not too bad for 14 traps. Wolves snapped 3, weasels snapped 5 and of course then the Wolverines came along and cleaned out the bait.

I got the tape from a place in Edmonton called Halfords. Way more durable than regular flagging tape

Busy week of fur handling. 3 traplines to check this weekend. Shorten up one line and extend the other. Plus get more snares out with Bobby of the sign is good.
