I've seen lots of birds hit a window but never broke. Yesterday a Robin hit a 24 x 67" Jeldwin and it blew up. Double pane. Dead bird.

Funny how a person's mind works. Can't recall things that happened yesterday..
But I read the title on this post and flashed all the way back to first grade.. How does that happen? I had said "I busted a window".. My first grade teacher hearing that said to me. No you "Broke" the window! A woman is said to be "Busted" Broken is the proper word to use. Being a smart mouth even at that age. I looked at her and said "Well then. I busteded it. . Must have been the only thing I learned. Only thing I recall from first grade. LMAO!
As for Robins flying into windows. Neighbor across the street from my parents house had mulberry tree. Goofy Robin's would eat them selfs silly on them berries. Then fly into my parents big picture window leave purple splosh.

A lot of HO3 policies might have some coverage for that. Take some pictures and call in a claim.

These windows were in the house when the wife bought it. 24×67 casement window. I figure the window will cost just what the deductible is.
