we turned our holidays over to our kids. told them it was their time. youngest did thanksgiving this year and oldest is doing xmas. i do still bring the meat. i like cooking it.

I reckon the real concern is not “the day” or tradition, perhaps this will be the beginning of a new tradition that will become old, but the absence of the character building that takes place during times of inconvenience, more especially when the “convenience” is not recognized as the “blessing” that it is. Why be inconvenienced when one can be flexible instead. There's enough stress and nonsense to deal with in this world.

I’m learning as I get older and my physical flexibility decreases my flexibility on decisions increases. lol
