Was at the feed store the county over getting a few traps to mod. Noticed these snares having but thought they looks a bit odd for what you usually find in a feed store. Picked one up and ..well there actually really well made lol. 1x19 cable , decent lock, deer stop, had a wammy on there and even LOADED !... Not used to seeing that at all from feed store trapping gear lol, usually just some DP's, come crappy 7x7 1/8" snares with washer locks and some odds and ends cages and foot holds

It’s hard to find even TRAPS at Feed stores around here! At least not until we got us a Rural King. Tractor supply only Carries Cage Traps. I ain’t never seen snares or cable restraints in a store here!

Nice to be able to pick up stuff and check it out instead of everything mail order, just hard to find whart you like though, they usually have junk you wouldn't want to use

would guess someone who works there traps and kept getting questions so they ordered some extra and put them there to sell.

I read every post from Wolfie. He always has something interesting happening, and his zest for life is contagious.

In my opinion, he doesn't post too much.

Many years ago, I bought 2 dozen snares like that at Gander Mountain, when they first opened in Huber Heights, Ohio. My trapping buddy and another friend bought some too. We all got $10.00 off coupons in the mail. They never had the snares again when I went in there.

Those were the first bought snares I ever used.
