Anyone trap north ohio.......find increase in mink catches since........ not too long ago .....maybe last year.......protesters intentionally released farm raised mink......pretty sure it was Ohio .......personally I don't think they could survive on their own....and releasing was a cruel death sentence

The taxidermist I use is close to where that happened. He had a few he had mounted. He said the roads were littered with dead mink.

I've caught a few ranch mink and they seemed to do Ok In the wild.

Haven't seen any of those showing up since the release. I doubt more than a few survived the first week. And you would of noticed if you got one as they seemed to be mostly of the pastel grades of ranch mink. If any did survive to breed with wild mink id imagine the color traits are recessive so seeing that color show up in subsequent generations is unlikely.
