My kids caught this coon today. Said it was acting funny when they dispatched it. Ever seen one missing the tail?

Most likely another coon. Posably self inflicted.

This is the correct answer. I bet it was a boar coon. Actually pretty common to find coons without tails in areas where coon populations are high. It happens when the other boars in the area are biting and pulling the coon off the sow.

I have 2 coon here without tails. I can't seem to catch them. Keep getting them on camera though.
