Found this on the 4 wheeler trail this afternoon

Knife is 4.5" long and scat diameter was about 1/2"
Full of black hog hair

Guess would be coyote but being that diameter and stretched out straight I am not 100% confident in that

What do y'all think?

Taste it, fox will have a slight minty taste while coyote well be more like cabbage unless they been eating afterbirth then it's more like shad sides.

Was there any sign of whatever left it kicking back ? I want to say bobcat but I'm thinking more along the lines of fox or coyote .

I'd say add it to your backing at your dirt hole or flat set with a squirt of urine .

You're friend along the snare line .

Anything which ate that much long hog hair would leave a turd like that. Coyotes eat a lot of hair, feathers, and bones. They are not picky eaters.

Thinking along the lines of canine. Young coyote perhaps?

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

I have seen PLENTY of coyote scat with hair in it.

This was different from any of that so the reason I asked

Not many foxes but possible and I would think a young coyote would still produce a larger diameter
