Sometime about supper time
I didn't realize I'm supposed to have someone there 24-7 for a few weeks
Im still in and out of AFib, common after heart surgery
Later I need to check and see if I need a pacemaker
They repaired the mitral valve, put in bypass, he said my heart arteries are so big I probably didn't need the bypass but did it anyway
The collateral new arteries I grew are big, he said I have large heart arteries.
Said I had a beautiful heart
So meds for rhythm, and blood thinners for now

The pain recovering wasn't real bad, the chest drain tubes hurt the most, removing them I thought my heart was being pulled on!
The AFib was strong until they started meds, I passed out two nights ago after doing so well.
They had removed too much body fluid, scared the heck out of me, I thought something went wrong and I was dying!
Not much pain now, drain tubes holes are starting to heal, removing the temporary pace maker wires today, then daughter is bringing me home

About 12 years ago, my older brothers surgery went great, but they stuck a feeding tube in his lungs afterwards. No air for 20 minutes and was brain dead. My sister-in-law wanted to be the only one in the room when they pulled the plug. He would’ve been 57 this year.
