Curious if anyone has used either the kill squeak or kill chirp with any proven increase in success or are they just a couple gimmicks to get trappers money?

I tried 3 of them through 3 sets of batteries with no catches. Removed them and started catching critters. Now it may have just been bad luck but I wouldn’t go break the bank buying a bunch of them.

Use a decent sized chunk of bait in your cubby and there will be all kinds of squeeking and chirping going on at your set (not to mention all the visual)from all the microtines and birds feeding on it.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Most trappers try creative approaches. Everybody wants the killer set, trap, bait, or lure. Some of it is hype and some not. The secret, if there is one, is hard work, determination, and learning to develop a knowledge base. I had the squeakers. It did not increase my catches. Deep understanding of the species, reading sign or lack of sign, solid equipment, and narrowing location produces results. Some areas produced rarely and others daily, why? Same bait same equipment same process. Time and experience provided the answers. There are a lot of tips and tricks from other trappers. It's my line to learn and grow from. Anybody can set a trap. Knowing why I am setting at the location I am, using the bait or lure I am using, with the equipment I am using, is trapping, in my experience.
Praise the Lord and Pass the ammunition.

I bought three of the squeakers from grit guy on here. They are beefier/different from the kill squeaks, but same principal. I’m putting the squeaker in a location that’s convenient for me and then setting traps in approach or stall out areas. This week I have caught two foxes, a coyote, and a bobcat on areas with the squeakers. These were also good locations so I may have caught every one of those animals without the squeakers as well. Who knows. One spot I’m using it is a brushy edge of field. I didn’t want to set the field where all the sign was because tractors were at the field and I was afraid they would begin to mow/harrow. So I set out of the field and tried to use the squeaker to pull animals off the x I've had same results with GritGuy's units. I have 6 of em. They work.

Many Years ago, I figured that If I put a mouse In a jar and buried It In my dirt hole, I would catch some fox. And I did.
I raised some mice I wanted that mouse urine-soaked bedding and a live mouse as an attractant. I placed the bedding and a live mouse In the jar I put a chunk of apple in the jar, so the mouse had something to eat. I punched holes in the lid. I dug a real deep dirt hole and wedged the jar in the hole. I caught lots of fox with this system. I'm not sure if it was the mouse or the urine-soaked bedding but it worked. And I had the jars dug out where I had missed a fox and where I caught fox.
WE don't have any fox, and it just became too much work so I gave it up.
