I did 20 yrs ago when the boys were teenagers. They had some wild late night parties. Some mornings I'd just drain it and start over. But this time of year a hot tub at 102° feels sinfully good. I'm considering another even though they are alot of maintenance.

I put a stock tank up on a couple saw horses one time and put a turkey fryer under it to heat the water. Put a 5 horse Evinrude on it so it would be more like a jacuzzi. Worked pretty good for a little while till a sawhorse broke. Was late at night and the neighbor lady had climbed in with me. Was pretty exciting trying to dodge that Evinrude when the saw horse collapsed.

No hot tub. Wood-fired Russian-style banya (steam-bath).

I’ve been around some but never owned one I’d just put the cattle tank on the ground and use a knipco heater and aim it at the tank, today I’d use a jet style motor instead of one with a propeller.

Have a 4' California Cooperage redwood sitting in storage. Some day will enjoy the warmth of it again. Had a bigger one back in the 80s. They are a lot of maintenance work.
Have a lot of memories of the drunken misbehaves that happened in that tub. grin If I could turn it into a Hot Tub Time Machine, I would turn back time and do it again.

Geez, how big is the neighbor lady? I would have thought she would have displaced a BUNCH of water when she got in.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I cleaned them as a job in highschool.

never wanted one after that.

now a sauna I would consider , built one of those for a pool customer back then , that could be nice.

Yes.

Use it almost daily. Feels great on my back.

Jim

Family is using it tonight. 21 degrees out and the hot tub feels great!

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I had one while I was living in the bush. An old claw foot cast iron tub, raised a bit on 4x4’s, and a three burner Colman underneath!

Put mine inside my climate controlled building. Before anyone says a word NO MOISTURE is not a problem. Got central heat and air so when it's 90 degrees outside I use it year round. Never thought of putting it outside. Why risk the fall in the winter if deck is froze over. I back out of my house garage . Pull into my building. 6 inches of snow no problems

On my 3rd... colder it is the more I like it, until it's time to get out... Ours is in a screened in porch on our deck.
