I have many times had traps out on christmas. this year i did not. will set a couple in a few days though. supposed to have a stretch of dry weather

With cell cams on the 2 traps I have out no need to physically check traps

All traps and snares are pulled or sprung by Christmas Eve and not reset till at least the 26th, as long as I can remember, from Pop, to my Dad, to Me and Arnold trapping together, passed on to my kids when they ran traps with me when they were younger, and though I trap alone now I still follow the old family tradition 
 Pop once told me, "Nothing should be killed on Christmas"

Doesn't bother me to trap on Christmas. Even if my steel line is pulled I always have mouse traps out 
 NYSTA, NTA, FTA, life member Erie county trappers assn.,life member Catt.county trappers
