My youngest son bought a complete upper from Bear Creek Arsenal on their pre Black Friday sale. Sub $300 shipped with tax. He then bought a complete lower $125 shipped with FFL fees.

The thing shoots 1/2” at 100 yards with factory Hornady 108’s.

I thought what the heck and ordered one too. Same result.

I think this is a very well thought out chambering that has a lot of potential.

Own a Seekins precision in 6 ARC, Mine shot decent with factory ammo. I now reload and after a testing couple powders and tweeking, have a shooter also, love the Hornady bullets in 108

Tellin ya, BCA is weird. Either you get a great shooter at a great price ....ooor to get a poorly made paper weight...don't seem to be much room in between lol

Isn’t the 6ARC basically a .243?

Kinda , basically, . Give similar performance on the 15 platform vs going up to the 10. Not apples to apples but.. really it's just a 6.5 grendel necked down to take a 6mm bullet they been doing it for a long time Hornady just tweaked it a lil and sammi spaced it

That's been my experience too. I have one of their 16" .223 Wylde barrels that is laser beam accurate, but that same upper came with a BCG that was so chewed up from the manufacturer that it wouldn't hit full battery, therefore useless. However for the $200 I spent on that complete upper, I wasn't too upset to throw a $200 BCG into it to make an accurate and now flawlessly functioning rifle

Just slap it together?, or does it require fitting?

Pulled the two pins that has my upper with thermal attached and put the lower on this barreled action. 2 shots to get it on paper at 30 yards and 1 shot at 100 to get it close.

The 3 shot group you see are the 4th, 5th and 6th shots on the barrel. Zero tinkering.

6 arc doesn't look nothing like the 243 in terms of powder capacity or ballistics....???? Other than the same diameter bullet what are seeing that is the same?

As I said it's not apples to apples. It's not a .243 replacement in the sense it will do everything a .243 does. But if if you wanna keep a really short action or say on the AR 15 ( notice how I said 15 not ten) Platform short a 6mm bullet well.

Honestly if anyone who's not super into ballistic and stuff asks about them I'll just say their baby versions of the big ones to keep it simple
6.5 grendel= baby creedmore
6arc = baby .243
22arc = baby 22-250

But that a super duper dumbed down way to look at it.

Not the same but closest your gonna get for something that uses less powder , smaller case ect .....and honestly since most people don't shoot past 100yd ... I mean if you NEED all the power that .243 case will give you sure....but honestly more and more I equate a lot of stuff to guys driving f250's with a Ford ranger would do about everything they want 90% of the time....

O wait sorry...I'm just a YouTube expert, forgot shouldn't be speaking on this stuff laugh

6mm-06 and 6mm-06AI

comparable to 240 Weatherby mag around 3500fps with 90gr bullet

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I have a stock Rem 700 Mountain Rifle in 280. It is a 2 MOA at best with its thin barrel. Thinking of going to a 24” barrel in a different caliber or just rebarreling to a 280 AI with a meatier barrel. Sold my 280AI about ten years ago because it was too heavy to carry.

Advice please.

I've been using the berger 109s in my 6cm. The single hole on the right was my cold bore shot. The last 3 in the hole on the left
