So this is kinda neat. Somehow found myself in in a rat trapping group based somewhere in South East Asia by the looks of it. How I got in it.....idk I can't even read the language laugh Anyhow they use all of these funky looking traps. I swear I've seen something similar that used to be used here in the US in some old books . Think they where called tree traps maybe ? Anyone seen or use one ? anyhow neat seeing trapping from all over, thought someone else might find it cool too

Looks the same as our body grip , just in a reverse concept.

Do they share cooking recipes for the rats they catch? I suspect grain fed rats taste pretty good.

That post a lot of pictures showing the guts and them cooking them but again I can't read the language so laugh I'll post some more pics later but they have some interesting ways . And they seem pretty about being out doing their thing.

Google translate seems to work pretty well, even on fairly obscure languages and dialects.

I wouldn't want to live in a country where you're forced to eat almost anything to survive, but I would like to try most foods.

Those pictures are in Thailand. In general Thais would not eat rats, however, the hill-tribe folks and people in the Isan region most likely would eat rats; they eat about everything else. My guess is most of the rat trapping that takes place is for rodent control.

I'd like to know more about the manufactured rat traps. Where can I buy a couple?

Very interesting post.
The powered snare is really neat.
Might make up a mini model to set for mice.
Would be a cool project.
Thanks again for the post.

I have a couple of all wire snap traps from temu . I have set them in the evening a couple times to try for gray squirrels but possum got to them first. I have no doubt that the would kill rats red squirrels chipmunks etc. They take up less space than wooden snap traps
Edit I set them in the evening because I work midnight shift

I found a video on how to make the traps.

I'm sure you could easily make one Donovan.
