America's Best, got a good, thorough exam when I developed floaters and flashing in my right eye, thought I might have a detached retina.

Their prices on glasses are really good.

It's a chain, don't know if there's any around you.

Walmart usually has an optician in the front of the store, exam is inexpensive and the frames are cheap.

my wife got her first pair from WI Vision and then ordered a pair same script from Zenni and they work but are not the quality and clarity of the glasses from WI Vision

I used to use Shopko optical before WI Vision.

the Zenni make a good backup pair when you get them for like 70 dollars for bifocals it makes sense something has to give in the cut , polish coating process

Veterans Administration. My PCP saw me take out my Dollar Store readers and scheduled me for an eye exam. Eyesight is still 20/25 , but up close, I need some assistance. The VA "BC's" seem to work.

So , if you're a Veteran and go to your local VA for annual physicals, maybe mention it. It's one of the few things that the VA gives you that's not a pill.

and I had low milage lenses that fit.
That'll never happen again.

I prefer to go to a place whose business name is the doctors name, like "John Doe Optometry". Same goes for hair cuts, until its impossible to locate one my hair will get cut at a place that starts with a mans name and ends in barbershop and the man whose name is on the sign is the guy cutting my hair. Both are getting harder and harder to find.

VA

I go to an eye optomotrist, costs a pretty good bit but it's worth it. Have to drive an hour and a half to get there, another one of the joys of living inn rural Montana but again worth it

While I have a subscription to Americas best for eye exams I get my glasses from eyebuy direct usually cost less then half of anyplace else due to my high prescription and if I took the cheap or free frames they have it would be even lower
