Got a few watersets on a local river, all BE body grips on some public land owned by the county. Their is a small unimproved boat landing where I park. When I pulled up to the river today this is what I saw. Apparently an excavating company has started dredging sand out of the river again to help keep the lake down stream from filling in. In the process they they are making a road out of dredged up sand which goes two thirds of the way across the river. This is causing the water level to rise half a foot upstream where my sets are. No luck today at this location and will see how this activity affects the animals. Two of the sets are for otter. Last check was two days ago. This work was all done in the last day. You never know what surprise you might have in store for you while on the trapline.

Had that same view in NY a few years ago but they were smashing beaver lodges trying to kill the beaver and removing the lodges and dams. Sure changed my trapping plans on that trip.....jk

No thats they way to get some good bottom edge locations! Quite the machine and water levels are low enough for them to get the job done.
