Every year on his birthday, I find a quiet place where I can reflect a little/where I can spend a few minutes alone with him. Some funny moments recalled, a few tears for my loss, and a whole pile of gratitude for his guidance, wisdom and support. then, I take a single .40 caliber cartridge from a box of shells that he reloaded; and I read the same little handwritten note he wrote to me about them. load it into my Glock and fire a Birthday Salute in his honor. Someday, I hope to be half the Man he was.
