Nice work WT88!

Get after em!

$3 or $20.......sometimes it's about just doing it.....instead of sitting around and complaining why you didn't do it.

Got plenty of good tanned fur to make my own blanket. It’s just getting in the right frame of mind to sew one up. Hats are a lot easier. [Linked Image]

Sold to GFW today myself. 62 green boars. Got $6 for the 3X, $3 for 2X, and a buck for the L/1X. Averaged $3.32. Ain’t good, but called around to other buyers, and they wouldn’t touch them even if I put them up.

Don’t buy all the cat food at the dollar store WT, I ain’t gettin’ any younger myself.

I trap for fun. I skin 'em for the money!

White Trash 88- Nice work on the finished furs!! Did the pale and black 'yotes come from your area or did you have to go looking for those grin

P.S. Probably a dumb question on your coon but do you have a skinning machine...?

And to think that I was paying more than 11x that for green MO coon in 1978/79. Unreal.

Yes sir I do have a skinning machine. No way could I skin coyotes and coon with out it the way my hands are.
Did have to go looking for those 2 “coyotes “. They came from Colorado fur sale. 7 foot long white and black wolves.

I did think they were a bit longer than they should be so wolves did cross my mind. Are lower 48 U.S. wolves now sold at such auctions or are these Canadian or Alaskan?

It is hard to have the trapping bug in you body and mind when prices are so low Every thing about me is telling me to Go put out a line Well everything except for the fact that fur is worth so little that it is bad decision in most every possible way Some times it might help with population control and the many diseases that wildlife carry And if those problems exist than control is a worth while idea And if you are going to do the work than you might as well follow it to the end and take what ever cash that comes with it The reality is if you where not a trapper you would not be doing what you did Isay do what works or you for now Because now is all we have to deal with By the way nice tractor How many more coons do you need to get one of them?

What is odd is they were making a product with millions of those 30 dollar coon that people could afford when wages were mostly under ten bucks an hour.
