Over the past week I've spent evenings near the woodstove reading Jack Whitmans (Gulu) "A wild life". It was an enjoyable read. I repeatedly postponed reading the book due to a busy schedule and a life full of distractions, I was quite pleased to realize it was broken into numerous small stories which made it easy to pickup the crying baby or discipline a naughty toddler then return to reading.

If you haven't taken the time to read it I would suggest you do so, it's an easy and pleasurable read that will inspire you to get outside.

Thank you two guys (Donnersurvivor and MChewk) for taking a chance on the book. Really glad you thought it was read-worthy.

Good to know. Thanks!!

P.S. Donnersurvivor, have fun with those kids! I remember a number of years ago that your life was different and those little people were maybe just twinkles in your mind somewhere wink Or maybe I have your story wrong. Sorry if I do...

Around 5 years ago I was getting divorced, my ex robbed my entire life savings and went to Vegas to get remarried. I was getting low account balance fees on my checking account after working hard and saving since I was 15. I had just bought my parents farm and it looked like I could end up potentially losing it.

The past 5 years have been a blur of hard work and lack of sleep but I've been extremely blessed, Great wife, two beautiful daughters, held onto and expanded the farm.

I have been extremely blessed.

Yeah, it's a good read. Do I recall correctly that you were working on a wolf specific book, Jack?

Thanks bearcat2! You recall correctly. I'm about halfway through (about 150 pages) with lots of biology and personal views from Idaho, Alaska, Minnesota, Russia, and Mongolia. However, I doubt I'll ever finish the book. Health issues have arisen.
