32summit40 OP trapper 3 Joined: Nov 2024 Posts: 114 Ohio	Don't know exactly......year it all stopped.......but I can remember a time women proudly wore mink or fox coats and jackets......even in fall and spring...... fur collars....wrists......trim....was always a status symbol and used to show off in front of friends and relatives.........even the large dry cleaner in town ......advertising on tv of their " fur vault " for proper out of season storage of fur outerwear.......can't remember the year but it all went away overnite..... Not a pro trapper....only cage trap racoon, skunk, possum, groundhog taking residence in barn that refuse to pay rent

AK Timber Tramp trapper A Joined: Nov 2024 Posts: 633 Alaska	I bought the wife a mink coat last year for her birthday. Still prominent in colder climates, it's hard to beat. I have a set of beaver gauntlets I use on my snow machines too. I'd like to say I have more, but it sure is spendy. Not sure where the cost comes in, I know the guy who caught all those mink didn't get much out of the deal, and I doubt the tannery did either
