Would not be as good as you think, People would take advantage of resources and break laws just like here. Better to leave it pristine The Indians and Chinese won't leave Canada pristine. As we saw from the Canadian wildfires, that pollution will end up here in the US. India is one of the filthiest countries on the planet. The Indians have buried their land and water in trash and sewage. China has some of the most polluted air on the planet. Both countries are environmental disasters. Keith

That's what Western countries get when it's to easy to immigrate there. When immigration is hard, you get highly motivated, hard working people. When groups like Catholic Social Services and the biden administration load up lazy people, who don't come on their own and just released prisoners and fly them in, you get the parasitic scum of the earth. What does an It cost the taxpayer to educate and raise Western Children before they may become productive? ( Property taxes main one ) How much does it cost a Western country to allow an adult immigrant in to be productive right out of the gate?

That's why it pays to be selective on who we let immigrate here. Also, we don't owe foreigners admittance to our country. We do owe our children a decent education. Keith

Best thing about canada is we have a small population, and can do whatever we want because of it.
Joining the US would 100% ruin that so not gonna happen. Way to many people. Ya we would be better off financially but who cares. Not like the states exactly has a rocking economy anyways. We think alike, that's common ground!

You fella’s are about to have other things to worry about. All those tariffs coming on day 1 are about to spike your cost of living. Canada has already put a stop to mass immigration and Trudeau has run out of road. Come election day he’s done. That's painfully true. But if we don't bring substantial manufacturing capability back to the U.S. we're in big trouble. I for one, don't want to be subservient to the Chinese. (Or anyone else for that matter). So it's kind of like going on a diet, you don't like it, but it's necessary, and better than being fat and lazy.

Well, the war was fought to keep the nation together as a whole. It’s called the United States of America for a reason.
And if the the war also eliminated slavery here in the US.
That’s why I disagree with the first part of your statement. The civil war was about states rights The slavery issue was propaganda and a recruiting tool of the north Don't believe everything you read, history is written by the winners Just saying Now get back to the Canada discussion Here's a man that understands history!

Civil War has very little to do with our government of today.
And yes it was the unfair concessions of the north against the south , had nothing to do with slavery!
As far as Columbus discovering America , maybe he didn't hit north America but he did discover the Americas.
Why criminalize his legacy over what those that followed him to the Americas?
Much the same as decedents of slaves needing approbations?
What about all the other races over time that were slaves and fled their home countries for freedom?
People were enslaved from the beginning of recorded time , so it wasn't invented in America!
Shyster lawyers twist the words to make up a crime , and cash in on it!
Our Constitution is the only thing standing in the way of those that want to destroy our country.
Trouble is they're twisting our constitution's words to allow open borders and total lawlessness to control our country.

Think about it! Voltaire addressed this very thought with the famous quote " Common sense is not so common". You hit the nail squarely on the head and it's gonna confuse some.
